I know, I know, I'm Canadian and we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, but when I received an email challenging me to 30 Days of Thankfulness, it felt like the right time. We were travelling quite a bit in October, so I likely wouldn't have been too good at keeping up a daily routine.
So I'll start with that - I am thankful for the ability to travel and see different parts of our continent. Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to conquer longer flights (I'm an anxious flier), but for now, I'll enjoy what's within a few-hour aviation radius. I'm thankful for the relative freedom to cross borders as a tourist. I'm thankful that our kids are such good travellers, and that we have family that will care for them when it's an adults-only trip. I'm thankful for the time, the funds, the airmiles(!), the fun new experiences, sights, and foods.
