Today, I am thankful for the aches and pains that come from returning to weight training. We backed off of our routine over the summer because marathon training was taking more and more time. It took us a while to get back at it in the fall because of back-to-school and extracurricular activities, and the travel I mentioned yesterday.
So, while it takes a few more days of recovery while we get back into the swing of things, I am thankful that we are healthy and able to pursue training. I am thankful that we have the funds to afford our trainer, and that we were able to find a trainer who could work within our schedule. I am thankful that our trainer is knowledgable, seems to have a good head on his shoulders, all while keeping a sense of humour and not taking offense at my grumbling.
